2016 Harter Family, Double H Ranch | Cabernet Sauvignon

Our wine

2016
Harter Family
Double H Ranch

Cabernet Sauvignon

The profile has a soft, elegant tannin structure with crushed rock which adds dust and minerality to the bright orange blossom, cardamom, blueberry, red currant, blackberry and strawberry flavors.

Where horses once roamed, Bill Harter, in 1974, decided to plant grapes in what has now become the Oakville, Napa Valley, appellation. We affectionately named our eastern hillside vineyard locations Oakville East.

Our current planting is exclusive to Cabernet Sauvignon and for our Harter Family Double H Ranch wine we use only grapes hand-selected from our 1991 old vine plantings. We have realized that organic and biodynamic farming techniques help us ensure the quality of grapes and soil health.

These changes, along with being lucky enough to have multiple blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon growing on our two adjacent single vineyards, have helped us realize our dream of honoring our father by having a wine named after our family legacy: Oakville East – Harter Family Double H Ranch single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon wine.

The Harter Cabernet is destined to be a classic and will last for many years.
